Finn Wolfhard To Star In Haunted House Film The Turning
Finn Wolfhard has seen his share of strange things in Hawkins, Indiana, but never anything quite like this.
Variety reports the Stranger Things and It actor has signed on to star opposite Mackenzie Davis (Halt and Catch Fire) in the haunted house movie The Turning.
Based on Henry James' 19th century novella The Turn of the Screw, the movie centers on a young woman hired as a nanny to two orphans. But she soon becomes convinced that the country mansion where they live is haunted. Floria Sigismondi (The Handmaid's Tale) will direct.
Wolfhard, 14, made his television debut as Zoran on the CW's The 100, then played Jordie Pinsky on Supernatural. He became a breakout star last year thanks to his performance as Mike Wheeler on Stranger Things, then played Losers' Club member Richie Tozier in the adaptation of Stephen King's It.
Stranger Things 2 premiered in October and has since been nominated for a Golden Globe for best drama series and a SAG Award for best ensemble in a drama series.
It's still early for more details on The Turning, but production is expected to begin early next year.
