Colton Haynes Will Return To Arrow As Arsenal
Contains spoilers for Arrow season 6
It's official: Colton Haynes will return to Arrow for a short arc this season.
It's been rumored for a few months, but the CW confirmed that Haynes will be back for several episodes as Roy Harper, otherwise known as Arsenal.
"We're thrilled to announce that Colton Haynes will be reprising his role as Roy Harper for a short arc on Arrow this year," said executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle in a statement (via Deadline). "Roy is called back to Star City to help resolve an urgent matter with high stakes for the team. His short visit turns into something surprising when he reunites with Thea and sparks a change in both of their lives that will have long-lasting consequences."
Also known for playing Jackson Whittemore on MTV's Teen Wolf, Haynes first appeared on Arrow in the second half of the first season. He became a regular at the beginning of season 2 and signed a two year deal, but he left when the contract was up at the end of season 3.
Oliver (Stephen Amell) could use some help these days. Black Canary (Juliana Harkavy), Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez), and Mr. Terrific (Echo Kellum) have all left Team Arrow after a big falling out.
There's no word about which episode will see Haynes return as Harper, but Arrow will be back with new episodes on Jan. 18.
