Chris Hemsworth Is In The New Teaser For Danny McBride's Crocodile Dundee Movie
It's beginning to look more and more like Danny McBride's Crocodile Dundee movie might actually be a real thing.
Late last week, People revealed a mysterious teaser for Dundee: The Son of a Legend Returns Home, a sequel to the original Crocodile Dundee movies that starred Paul Hogan. There wasn't much more in the way of details, and since this was the first anyone had heard about the movie, it was easy to assume McBride had just created the teaser as a joke.
But now there's a second teaser, and this one adds some Australian starpower. Chris Hemsworth (Thor: Ragnarok) appears in the clip, and it seems like he plays a local guide to McBride's character, the American son of Crocodile Dundee.
Could it all be a prank or just a viral promo for something else McBride is working on? Definitely. But it could also be an actual movie that was secretly filmed. The teaser opens with the logo for Rimfire Films, which is the production company co-funded by Paul Hogan and behind the original Crocodile Dundee movies. There's also an official website for Dundee which looks entirely legitimate.
Here's the plot synopsis: "Crocodile Dundee is back. Well, actually, he's missing in the Outback. And the only person who might be able to find him is the loudmouthed American son no-one knew he had. This son of a legend is forced to channel his Aussie roots as he embarks on the ultimate adventure in the land down under. It's time to live up to the family name."
Whether or not it turns out to be an elaborate joke, the teasers are still worth watching, mate.
