Dundee Trailer Reveals Margot Robbie, Hugh Jackman And More
You call that a trailer? This is a trailer.
There's a new look at Danny McBride's purported Crocodile Dundee sequel, and the level of star power in it should convince you of two things: this movie can't possibly be real and Australia really churns out the talent.
In Dundee: The Son of a Legend Returns Home, McBride plays Brian Dundee, the American son of Paul Hogan's Mick Dundee from the original movies. The first teaser came out of nowhere and the second one featured Chris Hemsworth as Wally Jr., an Australian guide.
The newest trailer brings Margot Robbie, Hugh Jackman, and Russell Crowe into the mix as Lil' Donk, the prime minister, and J.P. Steele, respectively. Other additions include Isla Fisher as Dr. Clark, Ruby Rose as Chief Jackson, Liam Hemsworth as Wes Windsong, Jessica Mauboy as Miss Thompson, and Luke Bracey as The Cricket Legend.
If you're getting more and more excited to see this in theaters, you're probably going to be disappointed. The Brisbane Times revealed the whole thing is actually a viral marketing campaign for Tourism Australia and likely leading up to some Super Bowl commercials. Still, we don't yet know the extent of the project, and the final "movie" could still roll out more native Australians like Nicole Kidman, Eric Bana, Cate Blanchett, or Guy Pearce.
Most of our questions will probably be answered on Super Bowl Sunday. You'll just have to endure some American football to find out.
