Watch The Twisty Super Bowl Trailer For Westworld Season 2
Get ready to dive back into the twisty realm of Westworld. HBO has shared the first full trailer for the upcoming sophomore outing of their sci-fi drama, and it definitely brings up more questions than answers.
"Look at this world," Evan Rachel Wood's Dolores says in the trailer, as shots of the park and its operations being destroyed flash by. "This beautiful world. We built this world together. A world where dreams come true. A world where you can be free. But this world is a lie. This world deserves to die. Because this is your world. We've lived by your rules long enough. We can save this world. We can burn it to the ground, and from the ashes build a new world. Our world."
Viewers last got a glimpse at Westworld season two in a teaser trailer shared at 2017's San Diego Comic-Con International shortly after filming resumed. However, the latest trailer provides a much more comprehensive look at the upcoming season, pulling in existing footage and some special footage directed by series co-creator Jonathan Nolan. It's unclear what exactly will go down in season two, but if this trailer is any indication, it is going to have destructive consequences for everyone involved.
Most of your favorites are set to return for Westworld season two, which will also bring in a large group of new cast members, including Kingdom's Jonathan Tucker as the commanding Major Craddock; Quantum of Solace's Neil Jackson as Nicholas, a charming and resourceful man who finds himself in uncharted territory; and Manhattan's Katja Herbers as a seasoned guest at the park whose latest visit comes at the park's darkest hour. Gustaf Skarsgard, Fares Fares, and Betty Gabriel fill out the new cast.
The season will also see Talulah Riley's host get promoted to series regular, with the show teasing that her character Angela, responsible for welcoming guests to the park for decades, will "prove to be one of the last faces many guests will ever see." Louis Herthum's Peter Abernathy has also been upped to series regular. James Marsden, Jeffrey Wright, Thandie Newton, and Luke Hemsworth are all expected to return.
Westworld season two will debut on April 22.
