Amy Schumer Finds Her Confidence In I Feel Pretty Trailer
Amy Schumer is loving herself in the first trailer for her upcoming comedy I Feel Pretty. In the movie, Schumer plays Renee Barrett, a woman who, after bumping her head at a SoulCycle class, begins to see herself as the most beautiful woman in the world.
"I have a crazy idea," Renee starts off the trailer saying. "Let's be honest for a minute. No matter how many times we hear, 'it's what's on the inside that matters,' women know deep down, it's what's on the outside that the whole world judges." Renee is sick of the judgement, and wants to know what it feels like to be "undeniably pretty."
Her wish comes true, at least in a way, when she falls off her bike at spin class. Even though she looks exactly the same afterwards, she now views herself as the most beautiful woman in the world, and the ensuing confidence helps to turn her life around. "Things have really changed for me," she says. Her newfound love for herself helps her to start a relationship with Rory Scovel's character, who is attracted to her bold persona.
Busy Philipps, Aidy Bryant, Naomi Campbell, Michelle Williams, Emily Ratajkowski, Sasheer Zamata, Lauren Hutton, and Tom Hopper also star in I Feel Pretty, which was written and directed by Never Been Kissed's Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein. The movie is set to hit theaters on June 29.
