Ralph Visits The Internet In Wreck-It Ralph 2 Teaser Trailer
Wreck-It Ralph is moving into the digital age whether he's ready or not.
Disney unwrapped the first teaser trailer for Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2, and it looks incredibly promising. If nothing else, it'll be good to see the internet get a good roasting.
In the first movie, arcade game villain Ralph (voiced by John C. Reilly) traveled from his own game into other video game worlds where he met and befriended Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) from the colorful racing game Sugar Rush. This time around, the duo will travel through Wi-Fi and enter the internet in an effort to find a piece to save Venellope's game.
A little reminiscent of a sketch from Chappelle's Show, the worldwide web is an actual place in Ralph Breaks the Internet, and the teaser mostly sets up that premise. We see eBay as a real auction house, pop-up ads as solicitors on the street, and the horrifying but hilarious reality behind a mobile game for toddlers.
Set six years after the events of the original 2012 hit, the movie will also bring back Jack McBrayer (30 Rock) and Jane Lynch (Glee) as Fix-It Felix Jr. and Sgt. Tamora Jean Calhoun, respectively, while Taraji P. Henson (Empire) joins the cast as a trend-tracking algorithm named Yesss. Ralph and Vanellope will also encounter plenty of well-known characters from all corners of pop culture including Iron Man, C-3PO from Star Wars and just about every Disney princess.
Rich Moore and Phil Johnston are directing Ralph Breaks the Internet, which hits theaters on Nov. 21.
