Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Teaser Unleashes New Footage

A new look at Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is coming soon. Universal announced that another full trailer for the upcoming summer blockbuster will be coming our way on Wednesday, April 18.

"These creatures were here before us, and if we're not careful, they're gonna be here after us," says Jeff Goldblum's Ian Malcolm in a sneak peek at the new trailer, which you can watch above. The teaser also features quite a lot of new footage from the scary flick, which will feature Bryce Dallas Howard's Claire and Chris Pratt's Owen returning to Isla Nublar, where the dinosaurs now roam free, to save the rare creatures from extinction in an impending volcanic eruption.

The sequel will have quite a few Jurassic Park connections, including the return of Malcolm and the introduction of James Cromwell as Benjamin Lockwood, the former partner of Richard Attenborough's John Hammond, the original founder of the park. Although specific plot details have been mostly kept under wraps, screenwriter Colin Trevorrow has previously said that the movie will be a "parable for the treatment animals receive today." Trevorrow has also teased that the film will go places the franchise has never gone before. He has helped stoke fans' high hopes by saying that he thinks that the sequel will be even better than the first movie. "The film looks beautiful and exciting," he said. "It's just been something that we've all delved in and tried to make something deeper and richer and ideally better."

The movie, which was directed by J.A. Bayona based on a script from Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, also stars Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith, B.D. Wong, James Cromwell, Rafe Spall, Toby Jones, Geraldine Chapman, Isabella Sermon, and Ted Levine. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom hits theaters on June 22.
