New Castle Rock Teaser Announces Series Premiere Date On Hulu
Something wicked resides in Castle Rock — and it isn't just the corpse, the woman holding a bloody knife, the masked figure, or the alligator.
Hulu has dropped a new teaser trailer for its upcoming psychological-horror drama series Castle Rock, executive produced by J.J. Abrams and adapted from the mysterious locale featured in acclaimed novelist Stephen King's literary canon.
Included in the new footage are glimpses at the Shawshank State Prison, Terry O'Quinn's character Dale Lacy recounting the "original sin" of the eponymous Maine town, and Andre Holland's death row lawyer Henry Deaver returning to Castle Rock, as well as an official debut date for the series. The first three episodes of Castle Rock will arrive to the streaming site on July 25.
Elsewhere in the teaser, we get a few clues as to why Henry has made his way back to the place he once called home. Henry's adopted mother Ruth Deaver, played by Sissy Spacek, appears unsettled and uncomfortable living in her own house, so he may have returned to help her. What appears to be Shawshank guard flashes a light into something in a cage, so perhaps Henry needs to assist him in wrangling whatever the creature is. And then there's the corpse underneath a sheet, the man in a mask, and Bill Skarsgård's character — a young man with an "unusual" legal problem.
The clip's narration, delivered by O'Quinn's Dale, promises a chilling tale: "There's blood in every backyard, inside every house. People say it wasn't me; it was this place. And the thing is, they're right."

Also starring Melanie Lynskey as Molly Strand, Jane Levy as Jackie, and Scott Glenn as Alan Pangborn, Castle Rock will be available to stream on Hulu starting on July 25.
