The Flash Movie Casts Dope's Kiersey Clemons
Dope director Rick Famuyiwa took over production of the upcoming Flash movie last month, and he's bringing at least one familiar face with him.
He's cast Kiersey Clemons ("Diggy" in 2015's Dope) in the DC Comics flick, and Variety reports she'll probably play Iris West–the tough-as-nails journalist and friend of the Flash's alter ego, Barry Allen (played by Ezra Miller).
Seth Grahame-Smith (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) was originally set to direct the standalone movie spawned by the appearance of the Flash in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. But Grahame-Smith walked away due to creative differences, and Famuyiwa took over in June. Production is expected to begin this year.
Clemons is definitely on the rise: She also recently landed a lead role in Sony's remake of Flatliners.
