Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them Trailer Reveals Magical Plot

After nearly a year of teasers and a lifetime of waiting for anyone born after the book's release in 2001, we've finally got our first look at a full trailer for J.K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

A Harry Potter prequel and spinoff, the film revolves around British wizard Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) after he arrives in New York in the 1920s with a suitcase filled with magical creatures. Some of them escape and wreak havoc, as magical creatures often do.

But the trailer provides a deeper look at the plot's bigger picture, hinting that there's a war brewing between wizards when Percival Graves (Colin Farrell) says, "We've lived in the shadows too long."

The Ellen DeGeneres Show shared the first look on Wednesday, but Warner Bros. quickly posted the trailer in full. Watch it above and check out a few Harry Potter characters we'd like to see in the flick. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them arrives in theaters Nov. 18.
