The Punisher Series Will Premiere In 2017, Cast Members Revealed
Contains potential spoilers for The Punisher
Just a few days after The Punisher star Jon Bernthal was spotted filming for the Netflix series in Brooklyn, Marvel confirmed that the show is set to debut in 2017.
The reveal came with the announcement that three major characters had been cast. Ben Barnes (The Chronicles of Narnia) will play Billy Russo (otherwise known as Jigsaw). He's Frank's Castle's best friend from his time in the Special Forces and now runs a private military corporation called Anvil. Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Girls) will portray Micro, a former NSA analyst with secrets that could be extremely valuable to Castle. And Amber Rose Revah (Son of God) will play Dinah Madani, a highly-trained Homeland Security agent who is "vexed" by the Punisher.
For those late to the party, Bernthal debuted as the vigilante on Daredevil, and there's sure to be some crossovers. First Look (via MCU Exchange) already sighted Daredevil actress Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) filming a scene for The Punisher.
