Fast 8 Now Officially Titled The Fate Of The Furious
You might want to hold up on getting that "Fast 8" tattoo. The eighth installment in the Fast and the Furious franchise is now officially called The Fate of the Furious.
Universal announced the new title on Twitter, and also shared a brief teaser (above) the full trailer will drop during a Facebook Live event on Sunday (Dec. 11). And although the teaser only features 15 seconds of footage, it's got a few car chases, one snowmobile chase, and a massive explosion.
F. Gary Gray directs the flick, which features the return of Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, and Kurt Russell. This time around, Charlize Theron and Scott Eastwood are also hopping on.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, 2015's Furious 7 grossed more than $1.5 billion globally.
