Ryan Reynolds Reacted To His Oscar Snub With A Very Deadpool Tweet

Ryan Reynolds may have been snubbed by the Academy Awards, but the Deadpool actor took it in stride.

Fans were clamoring for Reynolds to earn a nom for playing the merc with a mouth in the 2016 box office hit. However, while rival superhero films like Suicide Squad and Doctor Strange earned nods in the make-up and visual effects categories, respectively, Reynolds and Deadpool were left off the list entirely.

Reynolds responded with the perfect Tweet, writing, "Regularly scheduled tickle-fight at Camp #Deadpool is still on. Congrats to all the nominees for these brilliant films."

The Tweet is in reference to what he posted after Deadpool earned a surprise nomination for best picture and Reynolds earned a nomination for best actor at the Golden Globes last month. He wrote that the film's team was "engaged in a grotesque, early morning tickle-fight" following the nominations being released.

Arrival, Fences, Hacksaw Ridge, Hell or High Water, Hidden Figures, La La Land, Lion, Manchester by the Sea and Moonlight earned best picture noms, while Casey Affleck, Andrew Garfield, Ryan Gosling, Viggo Mortensen and Denzel Washington earned best actor nods.

Reynold has another chance to earn an Oscar nom for the character when he reprises his role in Deadpool 2, due out in 2018. Until then, we can wallow in our Oscar-less sorrow by revisiting Deadpool's biggest easter eggs.
