DuckTales Reboot Gets A Trailer, Renewed For Season 2

Prepare to have the DuckTales theme song stuck in your head, possibly for the first time since the '90s.

Ahead of the debut of the first season of Disney XD's reboot series, the cable network has released a trailer. And that's not all: Disney also announced that there will definitely be a second season. (If you can't bank on Scrooge McDuck, who can you bank on?)

The first season, expected to arrive this summer, will consist of 21 half-hour episodes and two hourlong specials. It features an impressive voice cast including former Doctor Who star David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck, Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live) as Louie, Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation) as Dewey, and Danny Pudi (Community) as Huey. SNL's Beck Bennett will play Launchpad McQuack.

The original Emmy-winning DuckTales ran from 1987 to 1990 as part of the Disney Afternoon cartoon block, which also paved the way for Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing DuckTalespin, and 1990 theatrical movie, DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp. Disney Television Animation will produce the new version.
