First Look At Ewan McGregor In Fargo Season 3 Teaser
The first few teasers for the upcoming third season of FX's Fargo were relatively vague and noticeably lacking any cast members. And while the latest promo is still vague, it offers our first glimpse at a nearly unrecognizable Ewan McGregor. (And the burned out letters on the diner sign provide an ominous taste of what's to come.)
McGregor plays two brothers on the Minnesota-set show, and in the new teaser, he's joined by Mary Elizabeth Winstead (who plays the girlfriend of the younger brother) and The Leftovers' breakout star Carrie Coon (as the recently divorced chief of the local police department).
Here's the official synopsis: "Set in 2010, the third installment of Fargo centers on Emmit and his slightly younger brother Ray Stussy (Ewan McGregor). Emmit, the Parking Lot King of Minnesota, sees himself as an American success story, whereas Ray is more of a cautionary tale. Forever living in his more successful brother's shadow, Ray is a balding and pot-bellied parole officer with a huge chip on his shoulder about the hand he's been dealt–and he blames his brother. Their sibling rivalry follows a twisted path that begins with petty theft but soon leads to murder, mobsters and cut-throat competitive bridge."
The cast also includes Michael Stuhlbarg (Boardwalk Empire) as Emmit's right hand man; Jim Gaffigan as the local police deputy; and Karan Soni (Deadpool) as scientist Dr. Homer Gilruth.
Fargo season 3 premieres April 19. Meanwhile, check out some "true story" movies that lied to you.
