Luke Skywalker Speaks In The Last Jedi Footage Description

There's no detail in the Star Wars galaxy that's too small for fans to latch onto.

As we wait for the first teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, very little has been revealed about the plot or what we can expect. However, some footage was recently screened for Disney shareholders, and Los Angeles Times reporter Daniel Miller was lucky enough to be in attendance. He shared what he could on Twitter.

Among the most interesting tidbits: Luke's first words to Rey and the return of Leia Organa.

The big reveal here is that Luke seemingly doesn't know who Rey is. Either that, or he's just testing her, to see if she knows who she really is. When we last saw them in the closing moments of The Force Awakens, there was a lot of ambiguity. And it's already been confirmed that The Last Jedi will pick up right where that scene left off.

In addition, the international titles for the movie seem to reveal that The Last Jedi refers to more than one Jedi. That means Luke might not be the only one after all.

So when can we expect a teaser? There's been no date revealed, but the annual Star Wars Celebration takes place in mid-April, and that would definitely be the place to debut footage.

In the meantime, check out everything we know about The Last Jedi so far.
