The CW Renews The 100 For Season 5
It looks like the world won't end after this season of The 100 after all: Deadline reports that The CW has renewed the apocalyptic drama for a fifth season. Season four has found the series' central teens fighting to stop the world's remaining nuclear reactors from melting down, something which definitely implies pretty certain death. However, with the series officially coming back, it looks like at least some of the gang will survive. (Knowing The 100, though, we highly doubt all of them will make it through.)
This leaves The Vampire Diaries spin-off The Originals and comics adaptation iZombie on the bubble for The CW, as well as newcomers Frequency and No Tomorrow. The network has already renewed Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Riverdale, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Jane the Virgin, and Supernatural, while Reign and The Vampire Diaries were both previously announced as coming to a close after their current seasons.
The 100 stars Eliza Taylor, Paige Turco, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, Devon Bostick, Christopher Larkin, Isaiah Washington, Henry Ian Cusick, Lindsey Morgan, and Richard Harmon. The series airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on The CW. If you're a fan of The 100, see the other shows that ignored the books they were based on.
