The President Show Coming To Comedy Central Late Night

We assure you this isn't fake news.

Variety reports that Comedy Central will premiere The President Show, a weekly late-night program created by and starring comedian Anthony Atamanuik as the Complainer in Chief. The series will air Thursday nights at 11:30PM after The Daily Show.

The premise is gold: President Trump decides to go around the biased mainstream media to host his own late-night show broadcast live from the Oval Office. There, he'll be free to address only the subjects that matter to him, without the pesky CNN and New York Times there to ruin all the fun.

The show is expected to include desk segments, field pieces and interviews, along with appearances by Peter Grosz as Vice President Mike Pence.

"Laughing at the president is a proud American tradition and we hope not to disappoint anyone in that department," Atamanuik said in a statement. " I'd just like to thank Comedy Central for giving us this platform to speak truth to power and if we're lucky, end up in prison!"

The program will launch April 27, and a broadcast of @midnight slated for that time will move back to midnight. In the meantime, check out how Trump quoted Bane during his inauguration speech.
