The T-Rex Will Return For Jurassic World 2
The real star of Jurassic World will definitely be back for the sequel, and we aren't talking about Chris Pratt.
Although this probably isn't all that shocking, producer Colin Trevorrow confirmed that "Rexy," the one and only Tyrannosaurus Rex in Jurassic World, will appear in Jurassic World 2.
Rexy first appeared in Steven Spielberg's original Jurassic Park, and aside from being a fan favorite, she emerged as a legitimate, albeit complicated, hero. The last time we saw her, she was recruited for an epic battle against the Indominus Rex at the end of Jurassic World. Although Pratt's raptors pitched in, it sure seems like Rexy does all the dirty work when other dinosaurs get out of line. She's like the bouncer of the Jurassic Park franchise.
Details about the upcoming sequel are still pretty top secret, but we know that director J.A. Bayona (A Monster Calls) wants to use less CGI and infuse more tension. He also said it will be "darker" than Jurassic World and compared it to The Empire Strikes Back.
We'll find out when the movie hits theaters July 22, 2018. Until then, take a look at a proposed alternate ending for Jurassic Park.
