The Teaser Trailer For Thor: Ragnarok Is Marvel's Most-Watched Trailer Ever

Now that's what you want from a trailer release.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first teaser for Thor: Ragnarok, which features a glimpse of the highly anticipated fight between the Asgardian hero and his "friend from work" the Hulk, is Marvel and Disney's most-watched ever, smashing the record previously held by the studio's live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast.

The trailer got 136 million views in 24 hours, beating Captain America: Civil War's previous Marvel record of 94 million views. Beauty and the Beast got 127.6 million views, while the trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens received 112 million views in the first day. Thor: Ragnarok still couldn't destroy the overall trailer viewership records, though. The Fate of the Furious saw 139 million viewers speed by, while Pennywise scared up the all-time record for Stephen King's It with 197 million views.

Aside from just the fight between Thor and the Hulk, the Ragnarok trailer also gives a look at Hela (Cate Blanchett), the goddess who unleashes some pretty fiery destruction on Thor's home planet (and destroys his beloved hammer, in one of the trailer's most gif-able moments). The villainess is also responsible for banishing Thor to Sakaar, where he's forced to get a haircut and become a gladiator. The trailer features a look at the desolate planet along with Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum). It also features the return of Loki (Tom Hiddleston), who will make his first appearance in a Marvel movie since 2013's Thor: The Dark World.

Plus it's all set to Led Zeppelin, which is pretty awesome.

Thor: Ragnarok doesn't hit theaters until Nov. 3, but if the trailer's reception is any indication, the movie should be a critical and box office hit. While we wait, see why the movie will blow everyone away.
