Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Has An Easter Egg You Won't Be Able To Find
Fans still haven't found the hidden Easter egg in Guardians of the Galaxy, but writer/director James Gunn says that they are finally, after years of searching, at least getting close. However, even when fans manage to stumble upon that very well disguised reference, their search won't be done, as Gunn says he has hidden another undiscoverable Easter egg in the upcoming Vol. 2.
Star Chris Pratt recently said that even he doesn't know the Easter egg that Gunn says is still unfound in Guardians of the Galaxy, telling The Huffington Post that Gunn has kept mum about the secret around him for fear that he'll blab. (Which, for the record, he says he definitely would.) While fans have been pestering Gunn with guesses since he revealed the hidden Easter egg on his Facebook page in 2015, he says that it is still under wraps– but he doesn't think it will stay that way for long. "I am not going to [reveal anything], but people have gotten very close," he recently told The Independent. "So, I don't think it will be very long until it comes out."
As for Vol. 2's hidden Easter egg, Gunn remained very coy, just offering a "yes" answer when asked if there would be a reference in the sequel as undiscoverable as the first film's. However, just that small mention should be enough to send fans in a tizzy, and will likely prompt enough years of searching to get us to Vol. 3.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, due out May 5, should have quite a few Easter eggs that aren't so hidden that fans will spend years trying to find them, despite the fact that Gunn was forced to cut the most Easter egg-heavy scene. While we prepare for a new, years long Easter egg hunt, see some of the hidden details you may have missed in Vol. 2's trailer.
