Watch The New Blade Runner 2049 Trailer
Things are not looking good for Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford in the new trailer for Blade Runner 2049. The trailer, released Monday, gives a better look at Jared Leto's character and teases the gorgeous visuals and heart-pounding action of the mysterious film. The trailer also offers a deeper glimpse at the developing relationship between Ford and Gosling's characters and gives a hint at the film's growing mythology.
Here is the full synopsis for the film: Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what's left of society into chaos. K's discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
You can watch the trailer above. Denis Villeneuve (Arrival) steps behind the camera for the upcoming sequel, which is based on a script from the original film's Hampton Fancher and Murder on the Orient Express' Michael Green. Dave Bautista, David Dastmalchian, Mackenzie Davis, Edward James Olmos, Carla Juri, and Barkhad Abdi also star. While we wait for the movie's October 6 release, see how it can fix what the original got wrong.
