Fox Orders Adam Scott, Craig Robinson Comedy Ghosted
Adam Scott and Craig Robinson will hunt down ghosts on Fox next season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has ordered the comedy Ghosted, starring the Parks and Rec and Office alums to series, along with the workplace comedy L.A. to Vegas.
Ghosted, previously predicted to be a lock for a series pick-up, features Robinson as a cynical skeptic and Scott as a genius "true believer" in the paranormal who are recruited by The Bureau Underground to look into rampant "unexplained" activity in Los Angeles. Along the way, they uncover a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race. The script comes from That Awkward Moment's Tom Gormican, with the pilot directed by Man Seeking Woman's Jonathan Krisel. The series, which is inspired by The X-Files, will join the second revival of the series on Fox's schedule.
L.A. to Vegas stars Ed Weeks and Dylan McDermott as part of a group of underdogs who are trying to find their place in the world– all while on a Friday night flight from Los Angeles to Vegas and the returning flight on Sunday. All of the characters want the same thing: to come back a winner in the casino of life. The series comes from Happy Endings' Lon Zimmett, with a pilot directed by Modern Family's Steve Levitan. Will Ferrell and Adam McKay serve as executive producers.
Fox recently ordered the Marvel mutant drama The Gifted to series for the fall, joining Seth McFarlane's off-season dramedy Orville. The network also recently handed down cancelations to the dramas Rosewood and Sleepy Hollow. While we wait to see Fox's new slate of series, see the shows that are going to blow you away this year.
