Deadpool 2: T.J. Miller Promises More Weasel
Deadpool 2 will dish up a double dose of Wade Wilson snark, plenty of acrobatic action sequences, and more Weasel than ever before.
T.J. Miller, who plays Deadpool's go-with-the-flow best friend Weasel, revealed that the upcoming superhero sequel will highlight his character much more than the first film did.
Speaking with MovieWeb during this year's Cannes Film Festival, Miller dished up details Marvel probably won't be happy to know were leaked, but ones fans will likely be pleased to hear.
"Marvel will cut off my hand and tongue if I tell you. But...let me just tell you that the second installment will be even more Weaselicious. Let me just put it that way, to quote Pauly Shore. I'm very excited about it," said Miller.
The actor also revealed that filming will begin in August and September, and that he and the rest of the Deadpool 2 crew are eager to get started.
"I know it means so much to Ryan [Reynolds, who plays Deadpool] that it's good; and for the writers, and for all of us actually. The first one did so well, people loved it so much. I think they really put the time in on the script. I'm just so excited," Miller stated.
Miller made a brief but memorable appearance in the 2016's Deadpool. Based off the comic book character of the same name, Weasel owns the rough-around-the-edges bar that Deadpool and co. frequent, serves as a kind of sidekick to the Merc with a Mouth, and offers up some chuckle-worthy lines that poke fun at the titular hero.
Known for his work on Silicon Valley, Miller also joins Josh Brolin as Cable and Zazie Beetz as Domino for the follow-up film.
Deapool 2 is set to open in theaters on June 1, 2018. Until then, find out why the film will blow us all away next year.
