Odette Annable Cast As Supergirl Season 3 Villain

We officially know who will be terrorizing National City in Supergirl's third season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cloverfield actress Odette Annable has joined the series as Reign, the villain teased during the season two finale. Reign will be introduced through the show's take on the World Killer storyline from the comics. A blood-thirsty monster created by Kara's father Zor-El, Reign has the ability to use superhuman strength and to fly. 

"Greg [Berlanti] and I have wanted to work with Odette for years," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said in a statement. "We are beyond excited to have her join our cast in the scary, powerful and heartbreaking role of Reign."  

Annable is also known for The Unborn, October Road, Breaking In, and House. More recently, she has had appearances on Banshee, Two and a Half Men, Rush, The Astronaut Wives Club, and The Grinder, in addition to holding a lead role on Pure Genius, which was recently canceled after airing just one season.

Melissa Benoist, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, David Harewood, and Katie McGrath also star on Supergirl , which returns for season three in the fall, where it will be paired with new military drama Valor on Monday nights. While we wait for the show to fly back to the small screen, see the insane history of Supergirl.
