Stan Lee Pops Up In Spider-Man: Homecoming NBA Finals Spot

Peter may have scored an invite to Tony Stark's NBA Finals watch party in the last Spider-Man: Homecoming TV spot, but now he needs to make sure his crime-fighting duties don't get in the way of watching the game. The newest spot for the film features Peter trying to once again balance his superpowers and his life– with a little help from Stan Lee, of course.

The spot begins with Peter fixing his hair in the elevator of Tony's building. He's interrupted by Happy, who tells him that he needs him to go downtown and pick up snacks for Tim Duncan (as in the former San Antonio Spurs player). Peter is upset by this, telling him that the game is starting, but Happy tells him that his Spidey powers make him much faster than a delivery so he's going to need to head out. Oh, and he better bring back change.

We then see a suited-up Peter, complaining about Happy and getting ready to swing into snack-getting action. However, he is quickly distracted by the sounds of a window breaking and an alarm, and he reluctantly heads to a local TV store to catch the bad guys and a few seconds of the game on TV. "I just wanna watch the game," he says. As he webs away, the clip pans to Stan Lee, who points and says, "I think I know that guy."

Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Jon Favreau, Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Bokeem Woodbine, Logan Marshall-Green, and Michael Chernus star in Homecoming, which was directed by Jon Watts based on a script from Watts, John Francis Daley, Jonathan Goldstein, Christopher Ford, Chris McKenna, and Erik Sommers. The movie is due out July 7, but ABC says that, in the meantime, you should watch the rest of the NBA Finals for some more glimpses at Peter's attempts to watch the game. For now, see why Homecoming will be better than you think.
