Carnage Will Reportedly Be In The Venom Movie
Turns out Venom will have some symbiotic company in the upcoming flick about the Marvel anti-hero.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the villainous Carnage will also appear in the movie starring Tom Hardy as the frequent nemesis of Spider-Man. Carnage would likely serve as the villain, which makes a lot of sense. There aren't a ton of characters who can match Venom, but this one would definitely put up a good fight.
Carnage was initially created to be a darker version of the already dark Venom. The character first appeared as Cletus Kasady in a 1991 issue of The Amazing Spider-Man and then debuted as Carnage 16 issues later. Just like Venom, Carnage is the result of a human taken over by an amorphous extraterrestrial parasite known as a Symbiote.
The alien gives Carnage strength that's greater than that of Venom and Spider-Man combined, and he has shape-shifting abilities that allow him to shoot a web-like substance from any part of his body. He can also cling to almost any surface and sense threats from any direction.
In the comics, the serial killer Kasady merges with the Venom symbiote during a prison breakout, and because the alien draws out the worst in its host, Kasady becomes especially dangerous.
There's no word about casting for Carnage just yet, but we'll let you know. Venom is expected to arrive in October 2018.
Meanwhile, find out the untold truth of Venom.
