Game Of Thrones Season 7 Trailer Reveals Winter Is Finally Here

It's not just a vague threat anymore. Winter really is coming to Game of Thrones, and it will bring war to every corner of Westeros.

HBO released a new trailer for the upcoming seventh season, and it provides our best look yet at the battles to come. It's not just about the Iron Throne these days. As Jon Snow (Kit Harington) points out, all of the families will need to work together if they hope to survive against the advancing Night King and his White Walkers.

The trailer begins with a very pensive Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), but it quickly gives us a glimpse at all the major players. We see Jon Snow preparing for battle, Queen Cersei (Lena Headey) looking sinister as ever, and Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) getting acquainted with her ancestral home in Dragontone. Oh, and did we mention the dragons? Yeah, they're back, and they're the size of jets.

The seventh season will be three episodes shorter than usual, but promises to be more action-packed than any season to date. It will also feature some of the longest episodes in the show's history.

The new season premieres July 16 on HBO. Until then, find out everything we know about season 7 so far.
