Michael Beach Cast In Potentially Significant Aquaman Role
There's another actor officially aboard for Aquaman.
Deadline reports that Michael Beach (Sons of Anarchy, The 100) has joined the cast of the upcoming DC flick starring Jason Momoa. Warner Bros. said Beach will play Jesse Kane, a member of a group of high-seas hijackers who has a "fateful" interaction with Aquaman.
While that sounds interesting on its own, many fans have started to speculate (via ScreenRant) that Kane will actually be the father of Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II).
In the New 52 comics, Aquaman is responsible for the death of Manta's dad. That would definitely provide a suitable motive for revenge. Also, Abdul-Mateen recently shared a photo with Beach from Australia, where Aquaman was in production. Check it out below.
James Wan's Aquaman, which co-stars Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, and Dolph Lundgren, will arrive in theaters Dec. 21, 2018. Until then, take a look back at some of the most disturbing moments in DC Comics history.
