Nick Fury Will Reportedly Appear In Captain Marvel
Sounds like the rumors were true: Nick Fury will reportedly appear in Captain Marvel.
Word first got out earlier this week, but Deadline reports that Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his Avengers role in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe flick starring Brie Larson.
Although Jackson was last seen in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron, it seems like he won't be back as Nick Fury until Avengers: Infinity War in 2018. Unless Jackson makes a surprise appearance in Thor: Ragnarok or Black Panther, Fury will have been absent for seven MCU films. However, there's a good chance Fury will meet Captain Marvel in Infinity War ahead of the solo movie.
Jackson and Larson have been teaming up a lot lately. They appeared together in Kong: Skull Island, and Jackson co-stars in Larson's directorial debut, Unicorn Store, which arrives later this year.
Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (Mississippi Grind) will co-direct Captain Marvel from a script by Meg LeFauve (Inside Out) and Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy). It's expected to hit theaters March 8, 2019.
Meanwhile, check out a few MCU mysteries we're still trying to comprehend.
