Watch Andy Serkis Read Trump Tweets As Gollum

Regardless of your thoughts on President Donald Trump, this video is precious. 

Andy Serkis, the actor who brought Gollum to life in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, recently stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote his new flick, War for the Planet of the Apes. But Colbert couldn't resist but have Serkis to do him a solid: he asked Serkis to read a few of the president's tweets as Gollum.

To get into character, Serkis propped himself up on his chair and contorted into the character's signature posture. "The Fake News media has never been so wrong," he said in Gollum's voice, ending with the infamous "covfefe" tweet. "Wait. What's covfefe, precious?," he added.

Colbert, who grinned widely throughout the entire bit, said, "That's the most beautiful thing."
