Spider-Man And Doctor Strange Have 'Great Chemistry' In Avengers: Infinity War
Not all of the Avengers are instant pals in the upcoming Infinity War, but at least two of the superheroes in the ensemble will get along famously.
During an appearance on Good Morning America (via ScreenRant), co-director Joe Russo said that Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) spend a lot of time together in the film and make a good team, thanks in part to the fact that they're essentially neighbors in New York City.
"There's a really great chemistry there," Russo said. "They both have a proximity to each other, if that's a hint that I can give. But anybody who's a Marvel fan will know that they both reside within the same city, and I think that Tom and Benedict have a great chemistry, and we wanted to exploit that."
In the comics, Spidey and Doctor Strange go way back. Of course, in real-life, both actors are British. "We're the Londoners and the New Yorkers," Holland said during an interview with Cumberbatch on GMA. Watch a snippet below.
However, Infinity War might not exactly be a feel-good movie in the end. With basically every hero in the MCU set to take on the incredibly powerful villain Thanos (Josh Brolin), things could get dark. Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo might have revealed a pretty big spoiler about that.
Avengers: Infinity War is expected to arrive in theaters May 4, 2018. While we try to wait, find out what we should expect in Marvel's Phase 4.
