New The Hitman's Bodyguard Trailer Released

Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson do not get along in the newest trailer for their upcoming action comedy The Hitman's Bodyguard. In the film, Reynolds plays an executive protection agent tasked with protecting Jackson's former hitman from a ruthless dictator, whose trial he is set to testify at.

The trailer begins with Reynolds' Michael Bryce on the phone offering a sincere apology to Elodie Yung's Amelia Ryder, the Interpol agent who hires him to protect Jackson's Darius Kincaid. However, his long talk is quickly interrupted when Kincaid crashes their car, sending Bryce catapulting through the front window. "Really?" Bryce says. "What happened to the seatbelt rule?" Kincaid replies.

It then introduces Reynolds' executive protection agent, who has been tasked with protecting Jackson from Gary Oldman's Vladislav Dukhovich, despite the fact that Kincaid thinks that he would be safer on his own. The new trailer gives the best glimpse yet at Salma Hayek as Darius' wife Sonia, who tells the agents not to worry about her husband. "He's unkillable," she says.

Kincaid quickly proves this by pulling out dozens of guns after being stopped at a metal detector. However, he also clearly lacks some common sense, as he catapults off a roof without thinking, landing at the bottom after a painful (and curse-laden) fall. "How have you stayed alive this long?" Bryce questions.

Joaquim de Almedia, Kirsty Mitchell, Richard E. Grant, and Sam Hazeldine also star in the movie, which was directed by The Expendables 3's Patrick Hughes based on a script from Fire with Fire's Tom O'Connor. The Hitman's Bodyguard is due out on August 18. While we wait, check out the other movies that are going to blow you away this summer.
