Carla Gugino To Star In The Haunting Of Hill House Series For Netflix
The upcoming Netflix adaptation of The Haunting of Hill House just scared up a new cast member.
Deadline reports that Carla Gugino (Sin City, Watchmen) has signed on for a role in the 10-episode series that re-imagines Shirley Jackson's classic 1959 novel in modern day. Gugino will join Michael Huisman (Game of Thrones) in the currently untitled series.
It will also mark another Netflix collaboration between Gugino and Gerald's Game director Mike Flanagan (Ouija: Origin of Evil, Oculus), who will helm the series for Steven Spielberg's Amblin TV and Paramount.
The Netflix take on The Haunting of Hill House will draw from the original classic ghost story, but also expand on the mythology of the Crane family. In the book, an investigator of the supernatural invites several people to spend a summer at an old mansion with a terrifying history. There's no word about which characters Gugino and Huisman will play.
