Jigsaw Trailer Reveals A Whole New Game

Believe it or not, it's been seven years since we got a new Saw movie, and there have apparently been a lot of technical advances in elaborate murder contraptions since then.

Lionsgate released the first trailer for Jigsaw, the eighth movie in the franchise, and although it doesn't show all that much gore, it does heavily imply that the gore will come. That much you can be sure of.

But wait? Didn't Jigsaw die a few films back? Yes. Yes, he did. But somehow he's back (his voice, at least) with Tobin Bell in the cast. It looks like someone has picked up where Jigsaw left off, and that's bad news for a new crop of not-so-innocent victims.

Here's the synopsis: "One of the highest-grossing horror franchises of all time is back, taking the Jigsaw killer's signature brand of twisted scenarios to a next level."

The movie, directed by Michael and Peter Spierig (Daybreakers) stars Laura Vandervoort (Smallville) and Hannah Anderson (Shoot the Messenger). Original Saw creators James Wan and Leigh Whannell worked on the screenplay with Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg (Piranha 3D).

Jigsaw hits theaters Oct. 27. In the meantime, take a look at more horror movies that will blow everyone away this year.
