American Horror Story: Cult Reveals Creepy, Clown-Filled Teaser
If you've got coulrophobia (a fear of clowns), the upcoming season of American Horror Story may not be for you.
FX unveiled a teaser for American Horror Story: Cult, and it's basically a creepy clown convention. Showrunner Ryan Murphy announced the theme for season 7 earlier this week, and it seems to center on a presumably murderous cult that involves Twisty the Clown, the horrifying character that John Carroll Lynch played in American Horror Story: Freak Show. While details are still pretty hazy, we do know that the 11-episode season will be set in Michigan.
In addition, series regulars Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson will return as "Kai" and "Ally," respectively, and Murphy promised that season 7 will feature the most we've seen of Peters. "This is his heaviest season yet," he said.
Frances Conroy, Cheyenne Jackson, Adina Porter, and Mare Winningham will also return in undisclosed roles. Newcomers include Lena Dunham, Billy Eichner, Alison Pill, Colton Haynes, Leslie Grossman, and Carrie Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd.
While we wait for more information (and probably more teasers), take a look at easter eggs that connect all of the seasons together.
