Stranger Things Season 2 Will Deliver 'Justice For Barb'

Warning: This post contains spoilers for Stranger Things.

Is it October 27 yet?

Everyone is looking forward to fall, when Stranger Things season 2 premieres on Netflix. Thankfully, fans of the show have already been treated with new information about the show's upcoming season. Eleven actress Millie Bobby Brown teased a "very unpredictable" plot, and the streaming site unveiled a totally terrifying (and perfectly '80s) trailer earlier this weekend.

But perhaps the most exciting thing revealed (via The Hollywood Reporter) during the Stranger Things panel at San Diego Comic-Con involves fan-favorite character Barb (Shannon Purser). In a hilarious moment of role reversal, Purser approached the Hall H stage not as a star but as a fan. She showed up to ask a single question: "Will Barb make it into season two?"

Though the answer was a resounding "no," the Stranger Things cast promised that in season 2, "there will be justice for Barb." (We can hear you cheering from here.)

When Barb faced an untimely, and arguably undeserved, death in the first season of the show, Stranger Things viewers went wild. They demanded that her passing be avenged, or that she be brought back to life somehow. The phrase "justice for Barb" gained traction within the show's fan community and reached meme status on the internet and social media. Now, it seems the show's creators have listened to the outcry and have righted the wrongs Purser's Barb experienced.

The first season of Stranger Things is currently streaming on Netflix, with the second coming on October 27. In the meantime, read up on everything we know about Stranger Things season 2 right now.
