Westworld Season 2 Trailer Released
Westworld just started filming its second season this month, but we already have our first look. HBO released a trailer for the sci-fi series' highly anticipated sophomore outing at San Diego Comic-Con, giving an early tease at the aftermath of the dramatic season one finale.
The trailer mostly goes through mysterious and convoluted shots that fit in with the series' mysterious mantra. Those shots include Maeve (Thandie Newton) standing in a room filled with dead bodies holding a machine gun, Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) shooting at some opponents as she rides on horseback, and some military vehicles riding through the park. It ends with a bloody Man in Black (Ed Harris) looking off into the distance.
Westworld recently added Quantum of Solace star Neil Jackson as a series regular for season two, with the actor playing Nicholas, "a charming, resourceful man who finds himself in uncharted territory." The show also recently announced Kingdom star Jonathan Tucker as the recurring character Major Craddock, a commanding military officer.
Other new cast members for the season include Manhattan's Katja Herbers as a "seasoned guest in Westworld whose latest visit comes at the park's darkest hour." Season two will also see Talulah Riley's host get promoted to series regular, with the show teasing that her character Angela, responsible for welcoming guests to the park for decades, will "prove to be one of the last faces many guests will ever see."
Season two will hopefully get the chance to answer some of the mysterious questions left after season one. The show will return in 2018.
