Terrifying New IT Trailer Released
The monster is getting closer in the terrifying new trailer for IT. The movie tells the story of a group of kids known as the Losers' Club who find themselves facing off against a shape-shifting monster that preys on fear.
"When you're a kid, you think that the universe always revolves around you," a voiceover in the trailer begins. "You think that you'll always be protected and cared for. Then, one day, you realize that's not true. Cuz when you're alone as a kid, the monsters see you as weaker. You don't even know they're getting closer until it's too late."
The trailer features some very, very terrifying glimpses at the aforementioned monster, with Bill Skarsgard's Pennywise popping out when you would least expect him. "Are you just gonna pretend it isn't happening like everyone else in this town?" one of the children accuses. "If we stick together, we win."
Finn Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis, Jaeden Lieberher, Wyatt Oleff, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Jeremy Ray Taylor also star in IT, which will be set in the '80s. It is the first of two films, with the second set in the present day. The movie is directed by Andy Muschietti (Mama) based on a script from Chase Palmer (Shock and Awe), Cary Joji Fukunaga (Beasts of No Nation), and Gary Dauberman (Annabelle: Creation). The movie will be released on Sept. 8; for now, see some other upcoming remakes and reboots that will blow you away.
