Jennifer Lawrence Has Unexpected Visitors In Creepy Mother! Teaser

God help you in the new teaser trailer for Darren Aronofsky's upcoming thriller Mother!. The film follows a couple (Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem) whose relationship is tested when uninvited guests show up in their home, disturbing their peaceful existence, and the teaser trailer shows that the Black Swan helmer will be in top form when it comes to managing the terrifying story.

"What brings you to us?" Lawrence begins in the teaser, which uses voiceovers for its first half as it shows Lawrence slowly walking towards the front door. "They told me I could find a room here," another voice replies. "He thought we were a bed and breakfast," explains Bardem.

"He's a stranger," Lawrence says, with a creepy, empty quality to her voice. "Did you know he had a wife?" The wife isn't the only unexpected additional guest who will stop by, as Lawrence begins to question who "these people" are as more pour in. "They've come here to see me," Bardem replies.

The voiceover then turns to talk of insanity and murder, with Lawrence finally getting to the door. As she opens it, it quickly flips into frightening, bizarre imagery, with a woman offering up this as advice: "God help you." 

The teaser reveals that a full trailer for the film is coming on Aug. 8, so we should learn more about what frights Aronofsky has to offer then. Ed Harris, Michelle Pfeiffer, Domnhall Gleeson, and Kristen Wiig fill out the all-star cast for the movie, which was recently moved up from its initial October release date and given a Sept. 15 release.
