Justice League: First Detailed Look At Steppenwolf Revealed
Warner Bros. has unveiled the first detailed look at the big bad from the upcoming Justice League movie, but it might not be in the way you expected.
Courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, in association with DC Entertainment and Mattel, have teamed up in appropriately super-heroic fashion to release a new line of Justice League toys that features Steppenwolf, the nefarious villain who causes trouble for the pack of superheroes.
The set also contains a Parademon figure, part of a band of extraterrestrials whom Steppenwolf leads. While both antagonists briefly appeared in the Justice League trailer shown at San Diego Comic-Con last month, the new promotional photos for the Justice League toy collection provides an up-close look.
Of course, the collection includes the film's fab five of Bruce Wayne/Batman (Ben Affleck), Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Barry Allen/Flash (Ezra Miller), Clark Kent/Superman (Henry Cavill), Arthur Curry/Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Victor Stone/Cyborg (Ray Fisher).
Not available for purchase as an individual figure, Steppenwolf can be built using separate bonus pieces that come bundled with the six main Justice League hero figures. The Parademon figure, which stands six inches tall and features 19 points of articulation, is sold exclusively at Toys "R" Us and retails for $19.99 USD.
The final piece of the Justice League toy collection is a 30-inch replica of the Flying Fox, the three-story airplane Bruce Wayne build for the team. Fans can pick that figure up at their local Wal-Mart retailers for $79.99 USD.
Directed by Joss Whedon, who took over for Zack Snyder after he departed from the project following a family tragedy, Justice League is due out November 17. While we wait, find out why the film will be better than you think.
