Preacher's Noah Taylor Joins Dwayne Johnson In Skyscraper
Preacher's Noah Taylor is the latest star to join Dwayne Johnson in his upcoming action flick Skyscraper. Variety reports that the actor has joined the Legendary movie, which is written and directed by Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story and Central Intelligence's Rawson Marshall Thurber.
Skyscraper stars Johnson as a disabled war veteran and former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader who is tasked with assessing security for skyscrapers. While on assignment in China, he finds that the tallest, safest building in the world has been set ablaze– and people think he did it. To make matters even worse, his family is trapped inside the building above the fire line. A wanted man, Johnson's character must go on the run while he hunts down those responsible and clears his name.
Taylor plays Adolf Hitler on the daring AMC drama Preacher, but he has had a long career starring in big name properties, including Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Edge of Tomorrow, Almost Famous, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Free Fire. He also previously played Locke on Game of Thrones and has made appearances in shows like Powers, Peaky Blinders, and The Borgias.
Neve Campbell, Pablo Schreiber, Chin Han, Byron Mann, and Hannah Quinlivan are also set to star in Skyscraper, which Johnson will produce alongside Thurber and Beau Flynn (Requiem for a Dream). Dany Garcia (Baywatch) and Hiram Garcia (Furious Seven) will executive produce, while Wendy Jacobson (San Andreas) co-produces. The movie is set to be released on July 13, 2018; in the meantime, see all of the other movies that will blow you away that year.
