Atomic Blonde's Roland Moller Joins Dwayne Johnson In Skyscraper
Danish actor Roland Moller has joined Dwayne Johnson's upcoming thriller Skyscraper in a "main role," Deadline reports.
Skyscraper stars Johnson as a disabled war veteran and former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader who is tasked with assessing security for skyscrapers. While on assignment in China, he finds that the tallest, safest building in the world has been set ablaze– and people think he did it. To make matters even worse, his family is trapped inside the building above the fire line. A wanted man, Johnson's character must go on the run while he hunts down those responsible and clears his name.
There is no word on who Moller will be playing in the film. The actor is known for R, A Hijacking, and Land of Mine, in addition to his recent appearance in the Charlize Theron blockbuster Atomic Blonde. HIs other upcoming roles include appearances in the highly anticipated biopic remake Papillon and the Liam Neeson and Vera Farmiga thriller The Commuter.
Skyscraper recently began shooting, with Johnson sharing a picture on his Instagram announcing a "strong" first week of filming. Neve Campbell, Pablo Schreiber, Noah Taylor, Chin Han, Byron Mann, and Hannah Quinlivan are also set to star in the film, which will be written and directed by Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story and Central Intelligence's Rawson Marshall Thurber.
Johnson will produce alongside Thurber and Beau Flynn (Requiem for a Dream). Dany Garcia (Baywatch) and Hiram Garcia (Furious 7) will executive produce, while Wendy Jacobson (San Andreas) co-produces. The movie is set to be released on July 13, 2018; in the meantime, see all of the other movies that will blow you away that year.
