Insidious: The Last Key Trailer Goes Deeper Into The Further
Another trip into the Further is a lot closer than you may have realized.
Universal released a trailer for Insidious: The Last Key, the fourth installment (it's the second if you're going chronologically) in James Wan's horror franchise, which is set to hit theaters in January.
Like 2015's Insidious: Chapter 3, the movie is a prequel to the original, centering on parapsychologist Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) and her buddies Tucker (Angus Sampson) and Specs (Leigh Whannell).
Whannell, who co-created the series, wrote The Last Key, which was directed by franchise newcomer Adam Robitel (The Taking of Deborah Logan). Here's the synopsis: "In the supernatural thriller which welcomes back franchise standout Lin Shaye as Dr. Elise Rainier, the brilliant parapsychologist faces her most fearsome and personal haunting yet: in her own family home."
Josh Stewart, Kirk Acevedo, Bruce Davison, Spencer Locke, and Caitlin Gerard also co-star, while Wan produced with Jason Blum (Get Out, The Purge) and Oren Peli (Paranormal Activity).
