Early Man Trailer Reveals Eddie Redmayne's Inner Caveman

Who knew that soccer went back this far?

Aardman Animation revealed a new trailer for Early Man, the stop-motion epic starring Eddie Redmayne (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) and Tom Hiddleston (the Thor series), and it offers our best look yet at the plot.

Early Man takes place during the intersection of the Stone Age and the Bronze Age as a young caveman named Dug (Redmayne) finds himself in a Bronze Age city ruled by Lord Nooth (Hiddleston). But with the future of his people on the line, Dug agrees to a soccer tournament so they can keep their valley. Otherwise, they'll spend the rest of their lives working in a mine.

Directed by Nick Park, the Oscar-winning creator of Wallace and Gromit, the movie has an all-star British cast including Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) and Timothy Spall (the Harry Potter franchise).

Early Man will arrive in theaters on Feb. 16. Check out the poster below, then take a look at more movies we're looking forward to next year.
