Matt Damon Lives Small In The Trailer For Sci-Fi Comedy Downsizing
Would you undergo the permanent and irreversible procedure to miniaturize yourself in order to help save the planet? What if we told you there would be not one, but three Cheesecake Factory locations?
Paramount released the first full trailer for Downsizing, the new comedy from Alexander Payne (Sideways, The Descendants), and it gives us a good look around the tiny world that lures regular people like Paul Safranek (Matt Damon) and his wife Audrey (Kristen Wiig) into undergoing a radical procedure to make themselves five inches tall.
When you "downsize," a modest $52,000 translates to $12.5 million, which allows everyone to live like tiny kings. That means mansions, luxury resorts, and absolutely giant bottles of vodka. But it all takes some adjusting, as the trailer points out.
Christoph Waltz, Jason Sudeikis, and Hong Chau co-star in the flick, which arrives in regular-sized theaters on Dec. 22. Until then, find out why Damon has turned down so many huge roles.
