Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan Teaser Gives First Look At John Krasinski
Are you prepared to see Jim Halpert as an action hero?
Amazon unveiled a new teaser for Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan and unlike previous teasers, it features John Krasinski (The Office) as the titular CIA analyst.
Based on Clancy's books and executive produced by Krasinski and Carlton Cuse (Lost), the series follows Ryan as he embarks on his first field assignment to stop "a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale." In the teaser, we see a group of agents abduct two men in the streets of the Middle East and take him to Ryan for an interrogation.
"All of the accounts link back to this phone. We know who you are," Ryan says to the terrorist.
At this point, Jack Ryan is sort of America's answer to James Bond. The character has been played by Alec Baldwin in The Hunt for Red October, Harrison Ford in Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger, Ben Affleck in The Sum of All Fears, and Chris Pine in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. Now you can add Krasinski to that impressive list.
The first season of the Amazon series will consist of eight episodes and debut sometime next year.
