Cryptic New Stranger Things 2 Clip Teases Eleven's Past
Does anyone else feel a nosebleed coming on?
Ahead of the season two premiere of the hit Netflix sci-fi series Stranger Things, the streaming service unveiled a seriously cryptic clip that teases a message from Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and hints at the torturous experiments she endured as a test subject at Hawkins National Laboratory.
The footage (shown above) runs opens on close-up shots of the mouths of Eleven and an unidentified woman, both of whom are experiencing the beginning stages of a nosebleed. Images of the lab, senior research scientist Dr. Brenner (Matthew Modine), sunflowers, rainbows, girls and young women, and the number 450 shown in a calculator and clock flash across the screen.
What stands out most within the video are the newspaper clippings that contain words like "alleged experiments" and "abuse," as well as headlines that read "MKUltra exposed" and "Dr. Martin Brenner named in lawsuit." While those pop up, the woman repeats "sunflower, three to the right, four to the left, rainbow, 450" over and over again, signaling that these are concepts that have some sort of significance in relation to the lab and the experiments.
The clip's description asks what we're all thinking: "What is she trying to say?"
In all, it's a pretty complex 44 second-long video that raises more questions about Eleven's origins than it answers. However, this is a pretty sound indication that Stranger Things will dive deep into Eleven's past and reveal her hidden secrets in upcoming episodes.
Thankfully the new season of Stranger Things will arrive on Netflix on October 27, so there isn't much waiting left to do to finally find out what will happen next.
