Han Solo Movie Title Finally Revealed
At long last, we can finally stop referring to the upcoming Han Solo movie as "the upcoming Han Solo movie."
Production just wrapped on the film, and director Ron Howard posted a video (below) that reveals the official title. It's Solo: A Star Wars Story.
The title is in line with the other Star Wars anthology flick released, last year's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It's a good indication that future anthology movies like the Obi-Wan Kenobi film will follow a similar title format.
Solo: A Star Wars Story stars Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!) as the young space smuggler along with Donald Glover (Atlanta) as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Woody Harrelson (The Hunger Games), Paul Bettany (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Phoebe Waller-Bridge (The Iron Lady), and Thandie Newton (Westworld).
Howard has been active on social media since taking over for original directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who departed the project due to creative differences in June. It's only fitting that Howard got to be the one to announce the title. Now we've just got a little less than a year to wonder what the plot will be about. Although it's pretty likely that a teaser should be on the way soon.
Solo: A Star Wars Story arrives in theaters on May 25, 2018.
